This Coronavirus, is giving my anxiety an all you can eat buffet!

Hey fathers, welcome back, sorry it’s been over a week, but here I am pushing through. How many out there are struggling daily to get yourself going? I honestly feel like I am in Groundhogs Day (great movie, love Bill Murray), stuck on repeat with no escape…

To me this fidget spinner in motion sums up how I feel, it is this perpetual spin. I am testing new things and ways to cope and deal with everything, because “idle hands are the devil’s playground”. I have learned I need a morning walk so my dog and I while the family is asleep go on a 3-4 mile walk every morning around 5:30.

I have been trying to continue working out at home to keep stress off and help focus, but it isn’t always easy. Especially when my day starts at 8 am with meetings and pretty much is meetings until 5-6 pm, with sometimes a 30 minute or 1 hour gap there to try to do work. I am thankful to be working but Zoom fatigue is real.

On top of work, I have a family dealing with their issues and emotions as well, my wife has her struggles, so I have to stay strong to help her. My kids are just confused and anxious and are dealing with Cabin Fever. I know it is a delicate balance, but for my sanity I need things to open up, I just need to be able to go somewhere and get out.

What are you gentlemen doing to cope, are you finding anything useful and would recommend? I see all of these people getting hobbies, but hell I have no time during the week, once I am done with work its kids and wife, kids go to sleep, the wife needs another adult to talk to so she gets that time. So I have a small window on the weekend to where I can steal a few hours for me, any advice?
