Hey Fathers, thanks for joining! Are any of you struggling with your kids and social distancing? I live in an active community and the kids are always out, especially with no ability to go anywhere.
Family Quarantine Diary: Day 4
The kids and I are constantly playing hide-and-seek now. They don’t always know it, but we are.

My son and his best friend and neighbors both are 5 and under. They are always playing and it is impossible to keep them separated, they are kids. We also have a lot of kids in the neighborhood and they all want to play together.
I struggle because I want the kids to have fun and be kids, otherwise it’s exhausting entertaining 100% of the time with everything. We have tried to keep them away, but it is hard!!! We have a policy of washing hands etc. afterwards from playing with his best friend. Any advice or suggestions? Is there anything you all are doing to address kids and social distancing?
I have struggled with this a lot and honestly see both sides, they play with other kids, they get exposed. I am trying to keep a balance, of play, but stay safe distance, and keep this thing from spreading. Life as a dad isn’t easy and this pandemic is adding new layers of complexity.
Will our kids get to experience what a social life looks like or is this going to continue for a few years. It is interesting times to be a parent. I hope to build a community of fathers and parents who can work together to best serve our kids and society, it isn’t easy but we can do our part.
I have looked online to see what the experts are saying and have added the links below for reference. Please take a look at the resources and add any context you would like to help other fathers navigate kids and social distancing.
